Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Canadian Review of Art Education is a refereed journal published annually by the Canadian Society for Education through Art (CSEA). Authors may submit well-crafted manuscripts in English or French on research or issues of interest and benefit to Canadian art educators. We welcome manuscripts that reflect diverse contexts, perspectives, and methodologies.

Peer Review Process

Each manuscript is blind reviewed by at least two reviewers and comments are provided to authors.

If revisions are required, authors submit a revised manuscript with a cover letter to address and delineate the revisions and changes. 

 

Publication Frequency

The Canadian Review of Art Education is published annually. Articles will be published collectively, as part of an issue with its own Table of Contents.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Submission Policy

In general, CRAE publishes a submission from one first/lead author per journal issue. This ensures that many and diverse author voices are represented in the journal at one time.
