As a Canadian online art education research journal, we, at The Canadian Review of Art Education/Revue canadienne d’éducation artistique : Recherche et questions d'actualité artistique , acknowledge that our digital platform and the scholarship it supports are situated across the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples throughout what is now called Canada. We recognize land not as backdrop, but as an active relation that shapes ways of knowing, making, teaching, and learning. We honour Indigenous Nations’ enduring presence, sovereignty, knowledge systems, and artistic practices, and we commit to ongoing, reflexive, and accountable engagement in art education and research that challenges colonial structures and supports Indigenous self-determination, relationality, and care for land and community.

Canadian Review of Art Education is a refereed journal published annually by the Canadian Society for Education through Art (CSEA). Authors may submit well-crafted manuscripts in English or French on research or issues of interest and benefit to Canadian art educators. We welcome manuscripts that reflect diverse contexts, perspectives, and methodologies.
